Keat Cheng is responsible for the overall operations of the financial reporting services for our structured finance, asset finance and aircraft leasing clients. Keat Cheng joined Cafico International in 2024 and brings over fifteen years of extensive experience in the accounting and administration of structured finance vehicles across Ireland, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Germany. His professional engagements include collaborations with major aircraft lessors, investment management firms and private equity funds.
Keat Cheng possesses deep expertise in various accounting standards, including IFRS, US GAAP, Irish/UK GAAP and Dutch GAAP. His notable experience includes involvement in the consolidation processes for a Fortune 500 company, a NASDAQ-listed reinsurance company and multi-billion-dollar hedge funds. Beyond accounting, Keat Cheng has managed numerous corporate finance projects, encompassing share valuations, stock exchange listings and due diligence reviews. Prior to joining Cafico, Keat Cheng held senior positions in two structured finance operations, further solidifying his extensive background in the field.
In the past five years, Keat Cheng has specialised in accounting and reporting for aviation leasing clients, with a particular emphasis on those involved in asset-backed securities issuance. His role encompasses addressing complex accounting, taxation and valuation issues specific to aviation clients.
